Hi I`m back with my online business, I`ve taken a few days off

Hi all,

I`m back I had taken a few days off, that means for me not sitting on my computer for hours a day. I spend the most of my free time with my children when they where back from school. That`s also a lesson from Alex you must be organized to run a business and do a do sheet. A do sheet means write down the things you must do that day so you`ll be more effective. That was a very good advice for me now I realize what I was doing wrong the past years.

I wasn`t spend my time effective I was jumping on the internet to find the key for my success. I was reading my inbox for hours looking for the golden egg, but I didn`t do anything. Now I realize I have to take action and it doesn`t matter if it isn`t perfect I can always re design afterwards. I know my blog isn`t perfect but as I take action I learn.

Again I was curious how my blog was ranking on Google remember on 3 December my blog was ranking on page 4 out of 4.060.000 searches for the search term what are the steps in creating an online business. Now my blog was on page 2 out of 5.590.000 and for the search term the steps in creating an online business my blog was on page 3 out of 1.900.000 searches and now my blog was on page 2 out of 4.140.000.
That I didn`t expect my first blog and already ranking that high on Google, how that happens I don`t know all I did you can read on my other posts.

I have put Google Analytics on my blog this little code you get gives a lot of information about my blog. It was very simple to put it on my blog, sign-in for a Google analytics account. Fill in some information after that you get a code and put that before and after 24 hours you can see the information. Well that`s it for today I finished my do sheet for today and now I`m going to spend my time with my children.

See you next time and feel free to leave a comment.

Arian, I can totally relate to this post. I’ve been so self-absorbed in the past two weeks since starting Alex’s course that I was missing out on the reason I wanted to work from home in the first place — spend more time with my family. So your post really hit home. So after I hit the submit button, I’m going to take the evening off to spend with my daughter to find out what’s been happening in her life while I’ve been locked away in front of my computer screen.

Hi Arian,

You’ve got a great attitude that shines through even in the written word. I wish you much success so you can spend as much time with your children as you want!

I think you’re definitely in the right place to do that…Alex cares a lot about his students, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads us!

Hey Arian! I love your website! and I love what you had to say about working too much and not spending enough time with your children. That is so easy for us to do. Our priorities tend to get messed up from time to time.

I will see you in the webinars!

Hi Arian,

Glad to hear you’re taking time for your family. It’s easy to get caught up and spend all your time in front of a computer screen.

I’m adding you to my blogroll. Feel free to do the same if you decide to add one to your site.

I know what you mean about organization. That and focus are my two main problems :) Alex’s coaching sure helps with that.

Hi Arian

Thanks for popping by and leaving your comment.
I think it is a good idea to have a bit of a break, I find that when I am not trying too hard to get things done, other ideas start to creep in that you may not have considered before.

Take care

Right on! I’m constantly trying to keep myself in check to make sure I keep my priorities straight! I spend a TON of time in front of the computer because of my job and online business and if I’m not careful, I will find myself neglecting other things! Glad you posted that.

Funny reading about people taking a bit of time out. You’re right of course, when you run your own business it’s easy to exclude everything else.
I’ve had the opposite problem since starting the Alex Jeffreys coaching – I’ve had an enforced 2 weeks off – being able to do almost nothing because of flu. So, I’ve missed every module since module 1 (I’ve listened to the recordings since).
Anyway, I’ve now found a bit of time to put together a forum to help people promote their web sites and also hope it will be a focal point for students needing help or able to offer help.
Please have a look, register, post – http://www.theimcrowd.com (name inspired by the UK comedy program The IT Crowd)
Thanks
